And the ensuing squabble:

MnM love to hide "in" things.  Mudpie doesn't really fit "in" many things though...

What are "Mudpie" and "Miso"?

There have been many misconceptions about what our kitties are.  Many seem to think "Mudpie" and "Miso" are some sort of popular dessert and a japanese soup.  Nothing is further from the truth.

Miso and Mudpie are colorpoint Siberians.  "Colorpoint" means the cat has a generally even-colored body and colored or striped points.   "Points" are the tail, face, ears, and legs.  Regular Siberians generally have stripey lynx pattern that is constant over most of their bodies.

Some characteristics of Siberians:

  • take 3-5 years to mature, live ~15 years

  • 10-16 lbs (XL as far as cats go!)

  • big-boned and big-pawed

  • long, but swept-back fur (not puffy like Persian cats)

  • somewhat cobby appearance (generally rounder face (not pointy) and body)

  • pretty, chirpy voice & not too vocal

  • strong jumpers (3-5 feet) despite their size

    • Mudpie can jump onto a 4-foot high shelf, despite his hefty size!

  • sociable with kids and other pets

So now ya know!
