This page NEW in Sep 2006 Click on the pics to enlarge In early February we decided to avoid busy Tahoe and visit beautiful Bear Valley instead for our winter trip with Shapoor, Boyd, Kimmy, Mark, Andy, Anne, and Aren. The IronStone Winery in Murphys was a good 1st stop on the way to the town of Arnold. Cam is much better at walking, and after being shocked that this cat let him so near, he went & strutted his stuff. Shapoor samples the wines.
After a weird two-week stretch of warm weather before our trip, the snow at Bear Valley Ski Resort wasn't great, but we all had fun anyways!
The dome cabin was fantabulous! Hot tub, steam sauna, nice open airy feeling, pingpong table, parking. We ate a super hot pot meal for 2 dinners and a lunch!
Some of us went sledding! Some of us went for the 1st time!:
Some of us went to the Calaveras Big Trees State Park for a nice winter hike.:
