July 17, the Bay Area Subaru Impreza Club met up in their 5th annual meet. Here are about half of the Subaru Imprezas that showed up later at Mt. Hamilton picnic area (the final meeting point). Lots o' BLUE ones! We're way off on the left...just out of the picture. The Milpitas police kicked everybody out minutes after this picture was taken...
July 31st, we went to the 1st ever SAN JOSE GRAND PRIX race...700 horsepower open wheel champ cars racing on San Jose city streets! Cool! We don't have any worthwhile pics to show tho' 'cause it was so crowded. Oct 16, Drift Showoff Event at Golden Gate Fields parking lot. Dave's fave was a hopped up deep purple Lotus Elise. And an Integra with scissor-wing doors...wow!
November 6th, 2005 RallyCross at the Altamont Racetrack. Dave, driving his trusty Rally-Stock Subaru WRX like a crazed maniac, beat ALL 17 cars in the 'Rally Stock 4WD' class, and ALL 18 cars in the higher-level 'Rally Modified 4WD' class!!! Even beat 3 of 5 other cars in 'Open Class 4WD' class.
