Below are some of those MISCELLANEOUS smaller events & adventures of the FIRST HALF of 2005! Please be patient with the slow load time...LOTS o' pics.

January 1st, Nick & Sue gathered up the PHS crew at their house for dinner and gifts.

Cam, Stevenson, Maya, & Luke in a rare instant in time (4 babies, sitting still and not crying!)

January 2nd, we visited with Henry, Eileen (not shown), Shana, Jayson, and Aaron.

January 10th, MaryAnn visits Cameron and brings her kids Andrew and Ashley.

January 13th, Almaden Family Optometric holiday dinner at Buca di Beppo.

January 22nd, Grandma Linda's Bday lunch. Aren lands a lucky punch in the kisser, to Cam's surprise ;)

January 23rd, visit to the Oakland Zoo with Linda's side of the family.

Jan 28-30, we took Cam to Tahoe to see snow for the 1st time!

Feb 6th, surprise Bday party for Carlton at the PHS gym, complete with a basketball game.

Feb 13th, 'kay, Aren wins the crazy hair contest hands down (7 months old).

Feb 26th, Cameron's Magic Movie Matinee party. Four couples with babies joined us to eat BBQ lunch and watch Spirited Away, with the understanding that we'd be interrupted by crying, feedings, & diaper changes =)

March 6th, the Orchard Supply Hardware How-To Fair, free buckets, samples, parking, and a nice time checkin' out the tools.

March 9th, outing to Alum Rock Park

March, off we went to Tahoe for more snow fun with the Yee family.

March 27th, ROBOLYMPICS. Nothing is as cool as watching 200-lb remote controlled 'bots destroy each other. Now called Robogames because, you guessed it, the International Olympic committee sued 'em.

April, we took Cam to Tahoe for a third, late season visit to the snow.

April 10th, Cam sizes up the sunday night JACL volleyball league players where Dave gets his (only) exercise for the week.

April 16th, Aren at Lawrence Hall of Science. Zachary trying out his first cheesesteak 'sandwich'.

April 23rd, Cam's 6-month bday party & BBQ

Cam and Maya and Aren are just beginning to interact a little.

Nancy grills up some veggie kabobs. Boyd tries his hand at holding the squirm-ster.

Ingrid helps Cam 'walk' (How do you like the 'SEXY' onesie she made him?) He's got the weight o' the world on him...but doesn't seem to mind.

April 25th, COE BACKCOUNTRY WEEKEND. Henry Coe state park is 140 square miles. Once a year, they let winners of a 'lottery' drive into the difficult-to-access Mississippi Lake area. Normally, this pristine, un-trailed, lightly-visited area is about a 12-mile hike from the park entrance. Wildflowers were in abundance, due to the unusually heavy spring rains.

April 27th, Coyote Point Museum (San Mateo).

April 30th, Parent's night out! We went on our first 'date' in more than six months =) We had a nice dinner at El Monsour (Richmond district, SF), a Moroccan restaurant. The food was EXCELLENT! Then we went to see Shapoor sing in his Persian Chorus at the Palace of the Legion of Honor. It was mesmerizing! Shapoor, you're not the same guy we listened to at karaoke night at the San Jose Live nightclub twelve years ago...you now put us all to shame! Afterwards, we had dessert at the Beach Chalet and stayed out past MIDNIGHT! Thanks, Dave's mom n' dad, for making this all possible!

May 8th, Coe Mother's Day Brunch. They cook a hearty brunch, you sit & eat and listen to the band. Unfortunately, an extremely unusual and cold rainstorm hit, so they had to move it from the campground meadow to the headquarters. The food and band were still good, but we had to dress up and huddle in the corral area.

May 11th, Happy Hollow Park & Zoo (San Jose).

May 14th, lunch with Nick & Maya

May 14th, Cam was a 'volunteer' subject for an "infant optometry techniques" seminar that Linda attended.

May 15th, lunch w/family.

May, we made a trip to New York City and Boston/Lexington. See those pages.

May 30th, BBQ at Nick & Sue's house, and a movie (Kung Fu Hustle) at the Oakland Parkway cinemas where they have comfy sofas and allow babies on Monday nights.
