This page NEW on Labor Day, 2003 In January, we went up to Tahoe and had a late holiday celebration with Linda's family. Linda and Dave were itching to try out some new gifts (snowshoes!), so we all did a little snowshoe hiking at the Sno-Park area near Donner Pass & Boreal Ridge. The snow was seriously deep and steep, and Andy got stuck! But with a little teamwork, we got him out and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the outdoors. .
In early February, Dave, Linda, Shapoor, & Mark went to South Lake Tahoe for the DnL annual winter ski trip. For a change, we went to South Lake Tahoe instead of North. It had been 5 years since we had hit the slopes of Heavenly Resort! We had forgotten just how spectacular the views were. This was a smaller trip, but Nick & Sue joined us for the weekend. Nick, shows that he can get those draggin knuckles way up off the snow, even during a snowstorm: Nancy & Tim, who live in South Lake Tahoe, also joined us a few times to hang out, play a little Apples to Apples, and go snowshoeing with Linda and Dave: With the warm weather causing snow to slide off rooftops, a little casual dayhiking was in order to absorb the sun! We saw a coyote near the cabin: |
