We used a wheelbarrow to cart all of our camping gear from the parking lot over to the grassy, riverside campground. Joseph experiences his first 'cart' ride:
Here is evidence of the beginning of the end...Nick teaches Joseph how to use his first Super Soaker...he learns quickly and became hooked right away! The situation quickly deteriorates into a 5 Super Soaker, 2 water cannon, take-no-prisoners, brawl.
After that, we cooled off by rafting "The Gorge" section of the South Fork of the American River. Linh isn't paying attention to the guide, or the river, or paddling!:
On the next day, we participated in a ropes course, with a climbing wall, log bridge, and zip line:
After dark, we played a mean round of Ghetto Rules croquet. 'Twas a long and close game that Nick finally won at 1:00am:
On Memorial Day, it was HOT, so we hiked up the North Fork of the American River to a nice swimming hole:
